About this database

This spectral database consists of a collection of reflectance spectra acquired on twelve dyestuffs used since antiquity and most of them have been combined with three different mordants. The spectra were collected with two devices: a double beam double monochromator Perkin Elmer Lambda 1050 UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer, in the 200-2500 nm range, in the diffuse reflectance mode (DRS), and a compact module, which features in a unique chassis two spectroanalysers Zeiss MCS601 UV-NIR and Zeiss MCS611 NIR 2.2 WR, equipped with fibre optics, in the 350-2200 nm range (FORS).
