About this database

This spectral database consists of a collection of reflectance spectra acquired on several paint mock-ups, in the 200-2500 nm range in the diffuse reflectance mode (DRS), d/0° geometry, avoiding the specular component of the reflected radiation on materials selected from those most commonly used in the second part of the 19th century. This database was created within the collaboration between the National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo and the Applied Spectroscopy Laboratory of the Institute of Applied Physics "Nello Carrara" of the Italian National Research Council.
